Bethany Whymark – 8.5

Nose: Zesty lemon and hints of fennel and dill. Bright juniper notes and of sweet spice, with a hint of gingernut biscuit.
Palate: It’s sweet, smooth and spicy, like brandy snaps with vanilla cream and shavings of orange zest, on a solid foundation of classic gin notes. Clean flavour.
Finish: Resinous juniper and spiced orange curd take over in the finish, which is nicely drying.
Comments: A great all-rounder of a London Dry that wouldn’t let you down in any classic serve.

Phoebe Calver – 8.4

Nose: Subtle flicks of juniper run throughout, with thick-cut and zesty marmalade. Lovely delicate heather honey to wrap it up.
Palate: More of that heather honey, with sprinklings of sweet gingery spice and spritzes of orange zest over the top of a touch of juniper.
Finish: A combination of lingering juniper and citrus spice notes.
Comments: Light and delicate, I think this would be such a refreshing G&T with that hint of spice giving it some punch.
