Camus Cognac is opening its largest travel-retail boutique to date in Hainan, at the island’s new Haikou International Duty-Free City.
The Camus boutique, on the lower ground floor of the new mall, will showcase a range of Cognacs from the French house – including the Extra and Royal Banquet expressions – as well as creations from design specialists Atelier Camus that will be exclusively available through CDFG.
In addition, Camus will be introducing a new GMC, recreated from a recipe once supplied to royalty, and Private Collection, a limited series of XO blends designed for gifting.

The boutique will also feature integrated screens and digital displays to create an immersive shopping experience, as well as a large central tasting table for visitors to sample Camus’ Cognacs.
Operated by China Duty-Free Group (CDFG), the 280,000sqm Haikou International Duty-Free City opened earlier in 2022 and is dedicated to luxury duty-free retail and experiences.
Cyril Camus, president of Camus House, said: “We are delighted to partner with CDFG to create the World’s first luxurious Cognac gallery and the largest travel-retail Camus boutique that will offer a unique and highly desirable selection of bespoke Cognacs and an ultimate sensory experience to the traveler.”
